This 1969 Mercury Cougar convertible, called Cool Cat, was renowned and created by hot rod builder Hot Rod Express. Every part of the car was carefully picked, created, designed and fabricated. There is not a single part on this car that hasn’t been touched, from the serious HP of 32 valve dial overhead cam Cobra motor, to a narrowed 9” 31-spline rear end with 3.73 gears, 4-wheel disc brakes and full air ride system. All in all, the only thing that has the original DNA is the body.

Everything mentioned above is supported by fully boxed, designed, tubular frame with Heidt’s from suspension along with a triangle 4 bar rear. The factory dash was sectioned 5”.  The interior is covered with leather and this ride has BMW carpeted floors in it. There are way too many details to be listed considering the changes that have been made to this Cougar. The Cool Cat was sold for $121,000.00 but, even though you can’t have it, it surely is worth seeing it.
