Galpin and Fisker transformed the Ford Mustang into a topless Rocket Speedster!

Henrik Fisker made big news at the 2014 LA auto show when showing the Ford Mustang-based concept that became reality with the help of Galpin Auto Sports. Now, Fisker and Gaplin are introducing us to an extroverted variant of that Rocket coupe, the topless Rocket Speedster that made its debut at the 2015 Pebble Beach Concours d’Élégance.

The Speedster looks quite exotic with the tonneau cover over the rear seat. The front seats which are flanked by mesh vents have fairings behind them that allow air to pass through the space and don’t let it become a huge pocket that increases drag. When the cover is removed the top still works so technically, this is more like a convertible than a speedster in a traditional sense. The exterior of the car rocks more body color and the interior, on the other hand, has a different graphic treatment inside, compared to the original Rocket coupe.

As for the price this transformed Mustang currently stands at about $110K with the 425 HP Coyote V8 under the hood and $150K for the loaded, supercharged 725 HP versions. The production capacity is limited to about half a dozen per month so, yes; the Rocket Ford Mustang will be a rare beast.
