Starsky and Hutch and Duke of Hazzard are the most popular adrenaline movies in America. The reason why everyone enjoys them so much is the fact that the driving in them is completely insane! And who else takes the responsibility for an insane drive apart from the drivers? Right, the cars!

The widely known General Lee became famous for its signature horn, stunts, police chases, and of course, its long jumps. Another thing that makes this car different is its welded-shut doors which left the Dukes climbing in and out through the windows. As for the numbers, this 1969 Dodge Charger is powered by a 440 ci 7.2-liter Magnum V8, putting out 375 HP. With 727 lb-ft of torque and a 3-speed automatic transmission the car reaches 5.4 seconds from 0 to 60 mph- top speed of 135 mph.

On the other hand, we have the 1974 Ford Gran Torino that’s named after the city of Turin or “Torino” as the Italians call it, due to the fact that it is considered to be the Italian Detroit. Powered by a Ford Windsor V8 with 5.8-liters, this ride develops only 250 HP.

Vicki Butler-Henderson, of 5th Gear races them to find out which is better. Check out the video and find out!
