A walk around the Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe that is celebrating its 50th Anniversary

This year is the 50th anniversary of the 1965 World Champion Cobra Daytona Coupe, and in that honor, Shelby American is building 50 Daytona Coupes. The authentic reproduction of this timeless classic is with a few modern additions that make it much more adorable. In the video below is a detailed walk around the car, and Shelby put out the video for all us regular people who can’t afford $179,995 to enjoy watching the car.

It seems that this is the cost of owning an authentic Shelby. A fiberglass body for one, aluminum shell and a place in the official Shelby registry are the few things that you get for that price.  This particular example has a Shelby-fied 351 Windsor 427 cubic-inch for power and Shelby felt the need to add power steering and an option for a radio. The Guardsman Blue paint job and the Wimbledon white stripes are epic!

Don’t torture yourself, check out the video below to see one amazing car!
