First of all, it is very rare, there were only 503 cars made. It was intended to be a high-performance, limited-edition version of the Dodge Charger produced in the summer of 1969 for the sole purpose of winning high profile NASCAR races. There were only that many cars because of the homologation rules at NASCAR back then. The manufacturers had to make 500 cars in order to be accepted in.

1969 Dodge Charger Daytona brought back to life and started after 30 years!

This one had only one owner. It is almost original. The 7.2 liter Chrysler Big Block 440 is still there. The owner Ron Smith bought it in 1969, before he went to Vietnam. When he returned, he drove the car till the 80’s, but it was deteriorating, and he decided to store it in his father’s garage. Decades later, he decided to restore it completely.
